The theme of the day is innovation that comes from “garage inventors” that successfully become products in the market. We hear a lot about crowd-innovation, co-creation, open innovation, but we rarely hear about the stories of people who are successful at creating these products in their garages and who are able to work with large organizations, startups or crowd platforms to commercialize these inventions. At TEDxEmbarcadero, we will be providing a face and voice to the unsung innovators who will inspire and empower the audience to get their hands dirty and innovate!
Our first ever TEDxEmbarcadero was held on March 2011 and the theme was “Innovation Worth Spreading”. We were lucky enough to have a dynamic group of speakers that took on the topic of innovation from a variety of perspectives. From how to disrupt yourself to letting go of your ideas the attendees were exposed to a wonderful diversity of thought. We wanted to put this event together because we are passionate about innovation.
